Sr. Staff Digital Design Engineer
Job Description
Reporting to the Director of Design Engineering you will have responsibility for the design and verification of power management IC’s. Your responsibilities encompass the full design cycle which spans product definition through IC validation.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate on system architecture definition, including partitioning of system functions among analog, digital and firmware implementation
Propose, Architect, and Design RTL in Verilog for use in a Mixed Signal Integrated Circuit
Contribute within a highly experienced team of engineers with extensive cross-functional skill sets
Employ clocking controls, FSM design, low power techniques, and area-efficient design concepts
Conduct design, architecture, and verification reviews
Mentor and help train junior and New College Grad engineers
Qualifications
BSEE with 12+ years, MSEE with 10+ years, or PhD with 7+ years
Experience architecting digital designs and writing device-level or sub-system specifications
Experience with Verilog and/or SystemVerilog for digital design and verification
Experience in digital design implementation including logical synthesis and DFT insertion with high coverage
Experience in static timing analysis and creation of place and route constraints
Experience in formal verification, lint and CDC/RDC checking
Experience in asynchronous clock crossings and synthesis implications of RTL
Experience in implementing and verifying ECOs on RTL, synthesized, and post route netlists
Experience with gate-level simulations, causes and implications of timing violations
Experience in ATPG generation and ATE support
Experience creating block and chip-level verification tests and verification plan development
Excellent oral and written communications skills
PREFERRED SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE
Programming/scripting skills such as C, Assembly, Perl, Python, etc.
Prior lead digital design experience on large mixed-signal SOCs
Prior experience developing digital solutions with high speed serial data interfaces
Prior experience in developing digital solutions for power voltage regulator systems
